To celebrate the Ryerson Image Centre’s fifth anniversary, we will be participating in Toronto’s Nuit Blanche--5 years to the day since opening its doors in Fall 2012. In partnership with the Magenta Foundation, we will present Flash Forward/Flash Back, featuring 26 past and present winners of the Flash Forward Emerging Photographers Competition.

Also on view, the RIC’s fall season of exhibitions includes:

THE NOTMAN STUDIO: 1858-1915

This exhibition surveys the diverse production of William Notman's bustling network of photography studios: through extraordinary portraiture, landscapes, and genre scenes, the young Dominion of Canada as energetic and sublimely beautiful.
